Biodynamic Viticulture

Biodynamic wine refers to wines produced using a holistic approach that integrates organic farming principles with specific biodynamic practices.

Biodynamic viticulture is similar to organic farming but avoids the use of synthetic pesticides, herbicides, and fertilizers. It goes beyond organic farming by incorporating spiritual and cosmic elements into agricultural practices.

Fruit days: considered the most suitable days for harvesting grapes

Root days: ideal for pruning grapevines

Leaf days: favourable for watering plants

Flower days: allow the vineyard to rest

It is believed you can drink wine on Fruit days!

Biodynamic wines don’t taste all that different to conventional wines. Maybe you’ll have an opposing opinion when you try one.

Biodynamic wine does not have additives, and the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides is forbidden in the vineyards where biodynamic grapes are grown.  No additional-sulphites may be added to the label if necessary.
